Increased HAP discretion rate will secure more tenancies
July will see an increase in the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) discretion rate of up to 35%. This was confirmed by Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien at a recent FEANSTA conference. IFA Sheep committee chairman Kevin Comiskey said we are approaching the end of hogget supplies. Spring lamb numbers are increasing, but still remain below last year’s levels.
