People getting out walking and using the countryside in the good weather have caused concern amongst farmers that they are not following the Countryside Code. Farmers are also worried that the increased activity on their land could result in them having to pay more to be indemnified. A fabulous south Wexford seaside farm has sold for €1.62 million at auction after reaching double the guide price. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has estimated that it will take 36 years to remove all hazardous waste from Irish farms.
