More than €2bn (£1.67bn) of investment was secured on the Irish property market in the last quarter of 2021, bringing full-year activity to €5.5bn. Climate Change Advisory Council chairperson Marie Donnelly has warned that Irish forestry is in “a serious hole”, as it continues to miss its annual 8,000ha planting target.
