Top quality animals catalogued for Irish Shorthorn Society Show & Sale

The Irish Shorthorn Premier Sale in Roscommon Mart this Saturday, 19th November, offers a rare opportunity to acquire some of the best breeding lines in the business.

The Irish Shorthorn Society’s Breed Development Coordinator Robin Leahy confirms that “there are 70 top quality pre-inspected, Pedigree registered, genotyped, TH free and export tested animals catalogued for the sale.”


The Breed Secretary adds that: “There are in calf, maiden and weanling Shorthorn heifers available from some of Irelands top Pedigree herds that will make ideal foundation females, or a great addition to any herd.”


“There are junior and senior bulls also available from these herds with excellent star ratings that are sure to add excellent bloodlines and potential to any herd.”


Mr Leahy concludes, saying that, “There are All Ireland title winning animals for sale on the day with several of these having been shown successfully all year.”


Be sure to get there in time for the show at 9:30!


The Irish Shorthorn Society Annual Sale starts at 12:00, with bidding ringside and online via LSL. In Ring 3.


Viewing is 11:00 to 12:00.


A live draw for the Society’s annual heifer raffle will take place prior to the sale.
