Sheep Ireland’s huge Elite €uro-Star Multi-Breed Ram Sale will be hosted at Tullamore Mart this Saturday, 27 August, 2022 at 11:30 am. Online bidding via LSL Auctions is preferred. Potential buyers should register in advance of the sale.
There are 500 animals entered in the catalogue, making it the largest sale Sheep Ireland has ever hosted. View the catalogue here.
Tullamore Mart Manager Antoinette Daly says that one change to the programme this year is that historical details of the animals will be omitted. “Usually all the pedigree history of the animal is told before they’re sold, now Sheep Ireland has cut that out and says to let the auctioneer sell them like commercial cattle. This is because the sale has to run quickly, and we expect it to be over by 5.30pm or 6pm.”
Sale order:
The Elite €uro-Star Multi-Breed Ram sale will be run on a breed-by-breed basis. The sale will have a split ballot. Two rings will be in operation on the day, and the order that breeds enter the ring and the ring they go through are determined once all entries have been received.

Viewing is from 9:30am.
Fees:
No entry fee will be required for the sale, however, there will be a 2.5% sellers commission charged on all animals sold.
