OECD Rural Development Conference

OECD Rural Development Conference

The OECD Rural Development Conference theme this year is Building Sustainable, Resilient and Thriving Rural Places. The Government of Ireland will host this 13th 2022 gathering.

As OECD Member States contend with multiple policy challenges, including emerging from COVID-19, Ireland welcomes the in-person participation of Ministers, senior policy makers and civil society for a wide ranging discussion on the future of rural places in September 2022.

The event will take place from 28 to 30 September, 2022.

For the full programme, see here.

The OECD Rural Development Conference Series began in 2002 in Siena, Italy. It aims to provide a forum for key policy officials to engage in dialogue whilst strengthening existing networks and fostering knowledge-sharing on rural policy across the OECD.

This regular dialogue, comprising stakeholders of all levels, has helped shape OECD work on rural development leading to the definition and measurement of the performance of rural regions, the evaluation of rural policies amongst OECD member countries and the undertaking of a number of thematic studies on rural development.

Expected time: 9:00  to 6:00.
