Cameras on front mowers aid road safety

Krone tractors

KRONE front mowers equipped with the DLG-certified camera system bring maximum safety to tractor-mower combinations during road travel.

Introduced in 2000, the small front-mounted camera systems have now been certified by DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft e.V.) for all KRONE mowers. It’s a smart, practical camera solution for safe manoeuvring of tractors, which have a mower mounted upfront, through narrow yard and field gates as well as on public roads.

KRONE acknowledges that every tractor driver is familiar with these challenges, and with ever bigger tractors these situations become even trickier. In addition, legislation requires a helper in situations where the equipment combination measures more than 3.5 metres from the tractor’s steering wheel to the front end of the mounted machine.

KRONE’s DLG-certified camera system eliminates the need for a helper. Each package comprises two cameras, one display screen and the appropriate leads. Thanks to the split-view screen, which displays two camera feeds simultaneously, the tractor driver is able to manage all tight spots safely without extra assistance.

Once KRONE received the certificates for the EasyCut Highland and the EasyCut F 400 CV Fold models, the company ensured that all current front mower models would boast a DLG-certified camera system. The DLG certification procedure was carried out for each individual front mower model.
