Kilmacanogue Horse Show welcomes competitors of all abilities

The Kilmacanogue Horse Show will be hosted at the Enniskerry Horse Farm in Monastery, Enniskerry, by kind permission of Mary and Syl Fenelon Bourke. This 50th anniversary version of the event will take place on 23 July, 2022.

The Kilmacanogue Show is a great local institution and welcomes competitors of all abilities. It has a great following amongst the riding schools and clubs in the area.  The organisers look forward to welcoming back spectators and trade stands this year.

To celebrate its longevity there will also be new children’s baking and crafts, adult baking competitions and wild flower classes. Plus, some special Irish Draught classes including a Mare class with a €400 prize fund. Qualifiers for All Ireland championships (donkey mare and foals, filly and colt foals and ID filly foal).

Fun activities on the day include vintage cars on display including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, sheep shearing demos, free pony rides, Wicklow Whisk cake decorating workshop, DSPCA dog trainer demos and ask the trainer session, Wool Spinning demos from carding to spinning the wool, a kids play area, The Stedfast Band, Donie’s clever collie dogs herding geese, a showcase of local food producers selling bread, cakes, jams, chutney, sauces and much more – and of course the very popular Dog Show.
