Flower farmers in the spotlight at Irish Flower Week

Irish Flower Week 2022

Irish Flower Week is a great time for The Flower Farmers of Ireland, who represent over 80 Irish growers. This annual celebration aims to promote Irish-grown flowers, and the hard-working flower farmers who make it all possible. The showcase takes place from 3 to 10 July, 2022.

The organisation is urging consumers to seek locally grown flowers and foliage, instead of imported blooms. It adds that 95% of cut flowers sold in Ireland are imported from abroad.

The event aims to encourage shoppers to look for an alternate flower experience, and for people to appreciate the vast range and scope of flowers.

You can find your local flower farmers on their Directory page, or if you’re a florist looking to use more Irish flowers in your arrangements, see their list of members who are able to supply in quantity on their For Florists page.

To keep up with what’s on show and get “some free eye-candy” following them on Instagram.
