Fermanagh County Show welcomes breeders from all over NI

Fermanagh’s premier agricultural event, Fermanagh County Show attracts over 15,000 – 17,000 visitors annually. It takes place on 2 and 3 August this year. Established in 1836, it offers a wide range of classes in home industries and schools sections. A broad range of trade stands will attend, including 21 artisan food producers housed in the Taste of Excellence Food Pavilion. Events include cookery demos by a raft of top chefs, two of which have featured on The Great British Menu.

The dog show has grown, and is sponsored this year by Enviro Care NI.

A Vintage Show will be held on the Wednesday, featuring the ‘Guess the year of registration of a local Vintage Tractor’, while The Best Turned out Tractor receives the George Elliott Cup, which is presented at Prize Night.

The Fermanagh County Show is a cross community event attracting exhibitors from all walks of life, businesses from all over the province, as well as judges from the UK and ROI panel.

Culturally it is an important event in the calendar for local schools, pedigree and commercial breeders from all over NI and a forum for home industries and the arts to showcase exhibits. 

The aims and objectives of the society are to enhance the skills of all those exhibiting and to share knowledge with visitors in particular of the agri-food industry. It is the largest and longest running event rolled out annually in County Fermanagh.

There will be music by Country Harmony and Letterbreen Silver Band. Plus, lots more attractions have been added for families to go along and enjoy.

There is free parking on site for around 700 vehicles with disabled parking near to the exhibition halls. There will be a shuttle bus service operating from Wellington Car Park every 30 minutes on the hour please wait (behind the Translink Depot) see signage. There is also a service on Tempo Road and Lackaboy Industrial Estate during show opening times.

Admission at the gate is £6 for adults, while youths under 16 go free.
