New additions to Tullamore Show programme

Tullamore Show

Excitement is mounting as the first physical Tullamore Show event since the pandemic looms. It will be held at the Butterfield Estate, Blueball, on Sunday, 14 August, 2022.

LSL Auctions will broadcast live to audiences across the globe at this year’s much anticipated event. Don’t miss the updates of this great showcase on the LSL Auctions Facebook page.

It’s full steam ahead for executive committee members, sponsors and volunteers, with some new classes added to the programme. Chairman Joe Molloy highlighted some of these, such as the ‘highest EBI animal’, the ‘robust dairy heifer calf’, and three new sheep breeds being Blue Texel, Spotted Dutch and Dassenkop.

There is now a renewable energy class in inventions, the All Ireland Pig of the Year returns, and there is an action-packed agenda for the beef section. The equine section has added the ‘classical ladies’ side saddle’, and ‘introduction to working hunter’, among others.

FBD Insurance chief commercial officer John Cahalan said at the recent programme launch: “After two challenging years, it is testament to the ambition, determination, and hard work of the organising executive team that we are here tonight, and we thank them for their hard work and dedication. We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Tullamore Show this year. As Ireland’s only truly Irish insurance company, FBD Insurance is proud of our farming heritage and our support of the agri sector, and we are proud to be the title sponsor of the National Livestock Show.”
