Prices for new crop grain jumped on Monday 16 May, 2022, with news of potential export restrictions from India. Paris wheat prices for Sep 2022 closed at EUR 438/t on Monday, but dropped back to EUR 418.50 last Friday, 20 May. Contributors include less fear around possible Indian restrictions, a substantial Russian crop forecast, and rain expected in Northern France.

Meanwhile, Glanbia offered EUR 13 more for green barley at EUR 345/t and EUR 18 more for green wheat at EUR 360/t this week.

Paris oilseed rape achieved EUR 866/t on Monday but dropped to EUR 820/t. This decrease is linked to news that Germany will phase out food-based biofuels by 2030. However, Indonesia is set to resume palm oil exports next week.

The FOB Creil rolling average price for Boormalt suppliers is currently EUR 425.17/t. The closing price for this week is EUR 478/t.
