Ireland extends its Covid-19 restrictions until March

Ireland’s coronavirus lockdown will continue for another six weeks until 5 March after the Government decided to extend the current restrictions. Taoiseach Micheal Martin said the Level 5 restrictions are having a positive impact, bringing down the number of Covid-19 cases in the country. Increased Efforts to Prevent Iconic Curlew From Extinction After Dramatic Decline in Numbers

Thirty new field officers are being recruited in a nationwide campaign to stop the Curlew from becoming extinct in Ireland. Big potential for small-scale biogas plants on farms

Government grants worth €14 million for businesses carrying out energy efficiency projects

Government funding of €14 million will be made available to businesses for energy efficient buildings, including the planning of capital projects for new or existing buildings, for embedding energy efficiency in the design of projects. Yellow snow and ice warnings with wintry weather ahead

Wintry weather expected for the country in the next number of days, with a Status Yellow snow and ice warning in place for Co. Wicklow.
