This year’s CIF Southern Construct Summit & Exhibition will be complemented by a large-scale trade show and exhibition. It all takes place on 8 September 2022 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork.
The event targets the entire construction sector and once again gathers together senior sector leaders, policy-makers, and other stakeholders to share the latest updates helping to address challenges facing the industry.
It is an exciting time for the sector as the economic outlook for the construction industry is largely positive for the year ahead. The Summit itself will have a particular focus on the South-East, Mid-West and the South looking at how the region and, in particular Cork, needs investment to ensure successful infrastructural development for its future.
One of the panel discussions will be an analysis of housing output in Cork city and county. The Government’s Housing for All plan and its projected housing output for this year will also be discussed. Providing a breakdown by local authority areas, panellists will look at homes completed in both Cork city and county in the first six months of this year. This includes single-builds, apartments and those built as part of a housing scheme. And an examination of local electoral areas will highlight the areas with the least and most housing completions.
