National Weather Forecast for Ireland from 15th May to 19th May

TODAY – Monday, 15th May

Ireland welcomes a primarily dry and bright morning today with sporadic showers scattered across the country. However, the afternoon is expected to usher in an increase in cloud cover, which will later give way to long stretches of evening sunshine, interspersed with isolated showers. Temperatures are projected to peak between 12 to 15 degrees, with light to moderate winds blowing from the northwest.

TONIGHT

Nighttime conditions remain largely dry, with expansive clear spells dominating most regions. The northern coastal areas may experience a bit more cloudiness with the potential for light showers. Nighttime lows are expected to range from 2 to 6 degrees, accompanied by light to moderate west to northwest breezes.

Tuesday, 16th May

A sunny start is predicted for most of the country tomorrow, although clouds are expected to roll in during the morning and early afternoon. Scattered showers are likely to develop over Ulster while the southern regions remain mostly dry. The afternoon should see a brightening trend as northern showers become less frequent. Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 18 degrees, under light to moderate northwest breezes.

Tuesday night

Expect a dry night with extensive clear spells. Clouds will begin to gather in the northwest by morning. The lowest temperatures will hover between 3 to 6 degrees. Light, sometimes calm, westerly or variable breezes may allow for fog formation.

Wednesday, 17th May

The entire country is expected to be dry with initial hazy sunshine. Clouds will accumulate over the northern half throughout the morning and afternoon, possibly leading to a sprinkle of light rain or drizzle, primarily in the northwest. Temperatures will range from 15 to 19 degrees, with cooler conditions expected in parts of the northwest, under light to moderate southwest to west winds.

Wednesday night

Largely dry conditions persist, with the longest clear spells seen over the southern half. Nighttime lows are expected to fall between 4 to 8 degrees in light southwesterly or variable breezes.

Thursday, 18th May

Initially sunny spells give way to increasing cloudiness from the west throughout the morning, accompanied by some light rain or drizzle. The east and southeast regions will likely remain drier and sunnier. As the afternoon progresses, the cloud cover will start to disperse, revealing long stretches of evening sunshine. Temperature highs will range from 15 to 19 degrees in light southwest to west breezes.

Friday, 19th May

A largely dry day with extensive periods of hazy sunshine is forecasted. Temperature highs are expected to range from 16 to 20 degrees in light breezes.
