The Medal Society of Ireland will host a Medals, Militaria & Collectables antique fair at Knox Memorial Hall, 97 Monkstown Road, Monkstown in Dublin on 6 August, 2022.
The Medal Society of Ireland was founded in 1986. The society promotes and supports the collecting and study of medals, badges, arms, armour and militaria in their various collecting forms, with a special emphasis on Irish and Irish-related material.
Areas covered include:
- The disbanded and existing Irish regiments of the British Army
- The militia and volunteers in Ireland
- Irish individuals and units who saw service in British Empire, Commonwealth and overseas armies and civil emergency services
- The Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Metropolitan Police, Royal Ulster Constabulary and Garda Siochana
- The Irish Defence Forces since 1922
- The Civil and Emergency Services of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
There will be plenty of treasures on offer and collectors are welcome to browse as well as bring their precious items to trade and swap with the table holders. They will also value and identify the items you wish to trade at no extra charge.
You can expect to find campaign medals, orders, decorations, militaria, badges, helmets, edged weapons, inert cartridges, books and many other collectables.
