The Ballygarvan Agricultural Show takes place on Saturday, 27 August, 2022 at the GAA grounds in Ballygarvan, T12 WC8V.
The schedule is as follows:
- Pony classes 10am
- Show jumping 10am
- Arts & crafts judging from 11am
- Cattle judging 11.30am
- Poultry judging 12pm
- Sheep judging 2pm
- Dog show 3pm
- Kids’ sports 2pm
The dog show is one of the most popular events. Entries will be taken in the dog arena from 1pm on the day. The entry fee is €3. Classes include small, medium and large dogs, puppies up to one year old, terriers, gun dogs, working dogs, and rescue dogs. There will also be a competition to decide which dog a judge would like to take home. Rosettes will be presented to the first three dogs in each class.
Egg entries will be taken on the morning of the show. Entries are also €3 each. There are four categories that will be judged for small cash prizes. Plates will be provided. All you have to do is present three large hen eggs, three different coloured large hen eggs, three bantam hen eggs or a plate of three duck eggs.
There will also be vintage car and wild bird displays plus 96 fm Street Fleet will be in attendance again.
Entry to the show is €10 or €20 for a family.
