The 2022 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Dublin Horse Show will take place at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Arena from 17-21 August.
More than 1600 horses and ponies from all corners of the country as well as some of the most expensive international show jumpers in the world will descend on D4 for five days of the very best of equine classes. Visitors will be able to watch native Irish Draught and Connemara classes, the acrobatics of pony club games, the perfection of side saddle, and the cut and thrust of national and international show jumping competitions in the RDS Arena as well as Simmonscourt.
With more than 300 stands showcasing everything from saddles to soap, live demonstrations and talks on equine-assisted therapy and personal wellness, there is something for everyone.
Geraldine Ruane, CEO of the RDS, said at the launch: “Everyone involved in the Dublin Horse Show is thrilled that we will be back – bigger and better in August, in the heart of Dublin – which in itself makes this show one of the most unique in the equestrian calendar worldwide.”
The show opens with the pageantry of Opening Day on Wednesday, 17 August, followed by Ladies’ Day on the Thursday, the Nations Cup and Aga Khan Trophy on Friday, and the much-loved Puissance on Saturday.
On Sunday, 21 August, the Longines Grand Prix of Ireland will take place. It is one of 130 competitions to be held during the event.
