The annual Flavours of Fingal County Show takes place at Newbridge House & Farm, Donabate, Ireland from 2 to 3 July, 2022. Expect a weekend of farm, flowers, food and family fun in the surrounds.
Entry is free for those who walk, cycle, travel by public transport (bus or train) or take one of their free shuttle buses. The Fingal Farmers Group were involved in the initial development of the Flavours of Fingal County Show, where you can meet north county Dublin’s top food and drink producers.
Learn about the wealth of food and drink produced in the Fingal area. Choose from a large variety of food stalls, plus there’ll be loads of free family events on offer – from music to magic, street entertainment, traditional games and paddocks of bouncy castles.
A great weekend of competitions is also promised – go and enjoy a mix of classes for local riders of all ages and to cheer on some of Ireland’s top show jumpers competing in our first ever National Grand Prix.
The Farmers Field
The Farmers Field is where it all started, and there will be a huge display of cattle on Saturday and Sunday, with some of the best prize money on the showing circuit up for grabs. A poultry tent will have a display and competition of the finest of local fowl, plus lots of displays of other animals including pigs sheep and Alpacas.
Returning again this year will be Seamus and his Racing Sheep who over the years have raised thousands of Euro for charities at the show. Donie Anderson will also return with his faithful dog Jess and their geese to do sheepdog displays.
There will also be a showcase of farm machinery supplied by the local farm machinery dealers, and Arts and Crafts Marquee will have an array of handcrafted products. The Fingal farmers Artisan Food Hall will offer a display of locally produced foods which can be sampled and purchased and cookery displays using great local produce.
Celebrity Chef Adrian Martin will host a qualifying round of the All Ireland Home Cook Competition, with a chance to win a cookery course in the world famous garden Ballymaloe Cookery School. And in the horticultural tent there’ll be a huge display of local baking, flower arranging and the best of local home grown produce.
