Casting call for The Fast and The Farmer-ish Series 2

The Fast and The Farmer-ish Series 2 casting call

Wannabe stars who fancy appearing in the second series of The Fast and The Farmer-ish are encouraged to apply. The casting call for tractor enthusiasts just requires applicants to be from the UK; totally mad about tractors; and have a competitive nature.

Alleycats’ competitive tractor-driving talent show, sees tractor drivers from Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales pushed to the limit as they take on challenges to test nerve, skill, creativity, and teamwork.

As the tension increases, young farmers and their tractors go head-to-head in teams of three in a series of regional heats. The participants compete to earn the opportunity to represent their nation in the final and become The Fast and The Farmer-ish champions.

In partnership with BBC Northern Ireland with Northern Ireland Screen’s support, BBC Three confirmed the commissioning of another series in recent days.

Eddie Doyle, head of content commissioning BBC Northern Ireland, says the series was a “real hit” with audiences.

He added that, “it gave our local farmers in Northern Ireland ultimate bragging rights having lifted the trophy on their home turf. I know we can look forward to more of the same competition and craic among the nation’s farmers in the next series.”

Presenter Tom Pemberton says, “I have absolutely loved being a part of this brilliant and original new series for BBC Three. After a cracking response to series one, I am so excited we get to do it all again soon. Bring on the madness,” he laughed.
