Krone’s agricultural machinery division has reported a turnover of €813.5 million, an increase of 11.1 per cent for the last financial year.
Overall the German manufacturer Krone Group posted sales of around €2.2 billion compared with €1.9 billion the previous year.
Krone group chair Bernard Krone commented on the latest figures: “Against the backdrop of the pandemic and the uncertainties that come with it, our turnover of €2.2 billion is a remarkable feat.”
Consolidated earnings before income tax for the 2020/21 period grew from €42 million to €95.9 million and resulted in a 4.4 per cent profit on sales.
There was a reported 17.8 per cent increase for the German manufacturer’s commercial vehicle group, which includes building articulated trailers. This resulted in turnover growing from €1.166 million in 2019/20 to €1.374 million in 2020/21.
In the agricultural machinery division the total number of employees was up on the previous year to 2,195. Overall staff numbers also modestly increased from 5,375 to 5,438.
