British Dairy-Tech show postponed until April 2022

British Dairy-Tech show postponed until April 2022

Show organisers of the British Dairy-Tech show ave confirmed this year’s event will be pushed back to 7 April.

Aimed at progressive dairy professionals, Dairy-Tech is one of the biggest dairy shows in the UK and Ireland, with more than 80 new product launches and almost 300 exhibitors.

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) said the increase in Covid-19 cases since Christmas is the reason for the show is being postponed.

The show had been due to be held at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, England on 2 February.

Matt Knight, managing director of RABDF said postponing the show was “paramount” to protect the health and safety of visitors, members, exhibitors, speakers and staff.

“Due to the unprecedented number of cases of Coronovirus over the last few weeks, we feel the best and most responsible option is to postpone the event until later in the year when cases historically have dropped,” he said.

“By April, the hope is more people will have received their booster jab and levels of Coronavirus will be lower.”

The new date of 7 April will also be before silaging starts, making it more accessible for farmers attending.
