Registration closes on Friday to bid on “excellent” beef farm auction

A beef farm with traditional cottage and farmyard buildings in Co. Longford, is being offered at auction.

All bidders must register before Friday 18 June with a deposit of €35,000.

The “excellent” 44 acre beef farm in Streamstown, close to Newtowncashel village, will be auctioned online by Murtagh Bros with LSL Auctions on Friday 25 June.

In addition to the beef farm there is a traditional detached three bedroom cottage and a farmyard with a range of buildings which will be available in one or more lots.

Agents describe the property requiring complete refurbishment, with excellent pasture lands and immense potential.

“The residence, in need of refurbishment, is a unique opportunity for someone to create a wonderful family home,” said the agent.

There are a number of older traditional style farm buildings which include a number of dry cattle sheds, silage slab, cattle crush and a range of smaller outbuildings.

Lot 1 includes around 35.5 acres with the cottage and well fenced farmyard.

Lot 2 includes approximately 8.5 acres of pasture land. The successful bidder’s €35,000 deposit will become non-refundable as soon as the property is sold and a binding Contract is entered into. The deposit payable on the signing of the Contract is 10 per cent of the purchase price. Unsuccessful purchasers will have their deposit returned.

The live auction on LSL Auctions will take place at 15:00 on 25/06/2021.
