Food and Drink Companies Face Mandatory Carbon Emissions Targets
All major Irish food and drinks companies face having to commit to reducing carbon emissions if they are to be part of Origin Green – the national sustainability programme run by Bord Bia. Lakeland Dairies has revealed an increased milk price for last month alongside a fourth consecutive month’s bonus payment. In Ireland, a base price of 33.34c/L including VAT/ lactose will be paid for milk supplied in February. This is an increase of 1c/L on January. Ireland Contributes €26 Million to Help Tackle Hunger and Poverty
Over the past six years Ireland’s contribution to the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) reached €26 million, according to a new report. Suspension of Tariffs on Irish Agri-Food Welcomed by Importers and Exporters
