Friday will begin mild, wet and windy with widespread rain and fresh to strong and gusty south to southeast winds. During the morning it will become brighter with more showery conditions that will extend from the west, with winds veering southwest. It will stay cloudy in southern counties but the rain may persist for most of the day with a risk of flooding. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12C.
In the evening showery rain is expected in southern and western coastal counties. It will remain drier elsewhere with some clear spells and a light to moderate southerly or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8C.
