Significant increase in house prices, REA Average Price Survey finds  
The average house price has increased by 3.16% nationally during the first three months of the year. This is according to the REA Average House Price Survey, which also revealed that 60% of all purchasers were first-time buyers. Most farmland buyers used cash for their purchases, survey finds 
The latest survey conducted by Real Estate Alliance (REA) has revealed that 59% of farmland buyers used their own cash reserves to buy their property, while over 34% negotiated a part-mortgage.
