Pig Exceptional Payment Scheme has processed 75% of applications received
The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue says that a total of 252 applications were received under the Pig Exceptional Payment Scheme (PEPS). Of this total 75% have since been processed for payment, McConalogue adds. Pig Exceptional Payment Scheme open to pig farmers
Applications can now be made for funding via the one-off Pig Exceptional Payment Scheme (PEPS). Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue this week announced that pig farmers can apply for between €3,000 and €20,000.     The notification sees some €7m worth of funding allocated to the Department of Agriculture by the national exchequer to cover the scheme.
