Deadline for STAMP veterinary software funding approaching
The Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland (LMC) is encouraging all interested veterinary practices to apply for funding for the installation of software that simplifies the reporting of antibiotic use on farms. LMC notes trends in current cattle slaughter data
Last year, the average age of bullocks, young bulls and heifers slaughtered in Northern Ireland was 25.7, 25.7 and 16.4 months. Base quotes for hoggets top 550p/kg across factories in NI
Base quotes for R3 grade hoggets up to 22kg ranged from 545-550p/kg across factories in Northern Ireland this past week. The LMC’s (Livestock & Meat Commission) figures show that the average deadweight hogget price in NI last week rose by 11.8p/kg to 541.3p/kg.
