The National Farmers’ Union says the Government should invest more to help open new markets for British agriculture. The Irish Government is negotiating with farmers over compensation as mink farms are phased out across the country.  Ministers are following up on a commitment in the Programme for the Government to close Ireland’s last three mink farms. There are currently 12 people working full-time across three farms, which rises to 30 people during peak season.  The Ministry for Agriculture, confirmed it is in talks with farmers to determine compensation.…
