Concerns have been raised over the imminent changes of how rights of way are registered. From 30 November new changes will mean that all private rights of way need to be registered before the deadline. However, it is estimated half of all rights of way remain unregistered. €5 billion Brexit fund agreed by MEPs
MEPs have overwhelmingly voted in favour of the €5 billion Brexit Adjustment Reserve with one fifth of the amount being allocated to Ireland. The Department of Agriculture is considering phasing out the leasing of entitlements by introducing a ‘use them or lose’ them system. The plan would end the practice of ‘armchair’ farming and put entitlements in the hands of active and younger farmers.
