Ballymote Mart saw brisk trade across all sections last Thursday, 9 June, 2022 with bullocks getting prices up to €2,330. Heifers sold for €1,730 and suckler prices reached €1,560. The number of animals to be slaughtered at a new meat plant at Banagher, Co Offaly, is estimated at 36,000 per annum.
