Fur farmers to be compensated for winding up businesses
The Irish Government is negotiating with farmers over compensation as mink farms are phased out across the country. Ministers are following up on a commitment in the Programme for the Government to close Ireland’s last three mink farms. There are currently 12 people working full-time across three farms, which rises to 30 people during peak season.
