Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of a free guided tour of Mount Usher Gardens on Wednesday, 17 August 2022, at 11am-12pm, or 2.30pm-3.30pm. Participants will be provided with a detailed tree trail guide to help locate the many ‘show-stoppers’ as you wander around.
Extending to 22 acres, this award-winning space combines a champion collection of trees and shrubs with inspirational floral planting schemes along both sides of the River Vartry. There is an ever-changing panoply of colours and textures enhanced by wafting scents accompanying every season. The gardens have been cultivated entirely by organic principles since 1980.
Avoca at Mount Usher Gardens is a haven of beauty and tranquillity. Named by Monty Don as one of his favourite gardens in the world, the locale boasts many scenic walks, stunning views and has the River Vartry running through it. Mount Usher Gardens, with its Avoca Garden Café and Courtyard Shops is situated in the village of Ashford, just 35 minutes south of Dublin city, and close to the seaside towns of Bray, Wicklow and Arklow.
