Teagasc will host two organic farm walks next week. The first is an Organic Farm Walk with Rose O’ Sullivan and Martin Fox at Spring Cottage Organic Farm, Parke, Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath, Eircode: N91 XFW3, on Tuesday 19 July, 2022 at 2pm.
Teagasc, Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine and organic organisations invite all farmers and members of the public to see organic farming in practice and to meet and speak with the producers and sectoral experts. You can learn about organic fieldscale vegetables, protected cropping, cereals, poultry eggs and direct selling.

A Biodiversity Farm Walk will be held at the farm of Alan and Cheryl Poole, Ballyowen, Craanford, Gorey, Co. Wexford, Eircode: Y25 Y199, on 20 July, 2022 at 7pm.
Attendees will see how good on-farm biodiversity practices can fit in with a productive farm setting.
What’s more, there will be representatives present from the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, Ballymoney Community Group, Duncannon Blue Flag Farming and Communities Scheme, Teagasc Agricultural Catchments Programme, Wexford Barn Owl Project and Wexford Bat Group. They will be happy to share their knowledge and answer your questions.
