The National Sheep Association (NSA) has decided to postpone all regional events this year due to the coronavirus.
Following the recent Government announcements the popular NSA summer events in Wales, Northern Ireland, southwest and northern England will not take place in 2021.
Meanwhile, the NSA Scottish executive committee had already made the decision to postpone Scot Sheep until next June.
NSA chief executive Phil Stocker said the association was disappointed to have cancelled the events that were scheduled to take place in May, June and July.
“These events recognise that the shepherd community will come together to provide an opportunity to exchange valuable knowledge, see new and innovative products, and catch up with friends,” said Mr Stocker.
“But the ongoing risk and uncertainty surrounding large-scale events have unfortunately meant that the difficult, but what we consider responsible, decision to postpone them had to be made.”
The NSA said it is focusing on enabling events scheduled for 2022 and 2023 to return safely.
