This session offers an excellent opportunity for shepherds to acquire quality genetics to enhance their flocks. Following closely, Ring 1 will showcase Fat Lambs at 11:00 am, attracting buyers interested in prime meat quality. The day continues with Fat Ewes at 13:30, presenting sturdy and well-conditioned animals.
As Monday dawns on the 8th of January, Ring 4 sets the stage for Calves, followed by Weanlings at 10:00 am, showcasing young livestock full of potential. Concurrently, Ring 1 will open its gates for Bullocks at 10:30 am, a session anticipated by many for its selection of robust and well-reared animals. Not to be outdone, Ring 2 commences at the same time with Heifers, followed by Sucklers, offering a variety of breeds and ages for different farming needs. The afternoon at 12:30 pm will see the sale of Fat Cows in Ring 2, a must-visit for those looking for high-quality beef animals.
Midweek, Wednesday 10th January, brings a special focus on the younger generation of livestock. Starting at 19:00 in Ring 1 are Bull/Bullock Suckled Calves, followed by Heifer Suckled Calves in Ring 2. These evening sales are perfect for those seeking to invest in the future of their herds, with vigorous calves ready to be nurtured into productive livestock.
