The intake opens bright and early at 8am, ensuring all show cattle are securely penned by 10:30am. The meticulous judging process, evaluating a variety of breeds in both male and female categories, kicks off at 11am. Breeds in the spotlight include Limousin, Charolais, Simmental, Belgian Blue, Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, and a Mixed Class, each representing the pinnacle of breeding and rearing practices.
With €2000 worth of prizes up for grabs, competition is anticipated to be robust across all categories, including the prestigious titles of Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion, as well as 1st and 2nd place in each breed category. While competition is at the forefront, the event also serves as a vibrant marketplace, with the sale of show cattle commencing at approximately 12:30pm.
