Ireland Weather Forecast: Dry Spells with Isolated Showers and Possibility of Snow from Tuesday Onwards

Thursday 2nd March

The northern and eastern regions will experience showers, while the rest of the country will enjoy mostly dry weather. Cloud coverage will break in some areas, providing opportunities for sunshine to appear throughout the day. Moderate easterly breezes are expected, with afternoon temperatures ranging between 6 to 9 degrees Celsius.

Tonight, the country will experience dry weather, with only isolated showers and clear spells. Light and variable winds will blow as the temperature drops to between minus 1 to plus 2 degrees Celsius, resulting in a touch of frost.

Friday 3rd March

The day is forecasted to be mainly dry, with some early sunshine giving way to cloudier conditions later. There will be isolated light showers, with the highest temperatures ranging between 6 to 8 degrees Celsius in a light east to northeast breeze.

Looking at the national outlook, Friday night will be mainly dry and cloudy, with temperatures falling to between minus 1 to plus 2 degrees Celsius in a light northerly or variable breeze.

Saturday 4th March and Sunday 5th March

Will remain mainly dry and cloudy, with isolated light showers and temperatures in the afternoon ranging between 6 or 7 degrees Celsius. Light northerly or variable breezes are expected during this time.

Saturday night and Sunday night will experience temperatures close to freezing point or slightly below, with light variable winds.

Monday 6th March

Winds will become northerly and freshen up, with scattered showers anticipated. Some of these showers may turn into sleet or snow on the hills and mountains. Daytime temperatures in the north will be around 5 or 6 degrees Celsius, while the south may experience temperatures of up to 7 or 8 degrees Celsius.

Monday night is forecasted to be extremely cold, with temperatures dropping well below freezing as colder air moves in from the north.

Tuesday 7th March

The weather is expected to become even colder, with the possibility of any showers turning into sleet and snow. However, all current indications suggest that the weather will remain mostly dry.
