Rock Farm Incalf Heifers features their 2022 Annual Sale on Monday, 31st October in Ring 1. This Bank Holiday Cattle Sale starts at 12:00 at Manorhamilton Livestock Sales, Station Road, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim. Buyers can look forward to 4 & 5 Stars.
The heifers have been individually selected for their ability to produce a top-quality weaning, based on conformation, milk and docility. Having sourced the maiden heifers, they have focused on their individual temperaments when selecting heifers for AI. Heifers that appear nervous with flight potential, were pulled aside for further feeding to heavy stores.
Docility is one of Rock Farm’s three core principals in producing top-quality sucker herd replacements, for ease of management and farmer safety, on mainly one-person part-time units.
The heifers being presented are an exceptionally quiet lot. All heifers for sale have been artificially inseminated, & scanned incalf to a Limousin Bull EBY (Elderberry Galahad), and are due to calve November to mid-December 2022. EBY is known as one of Dovea’s all-time greats, which combines easy calving, short gestation, and top-quality progeny.
