Painful cattle disease on the way out in New Zealand
New Zealand is one farm away from obliterating mycoplasma bovis disease, a painful cattle disease that plagues the farming industry. Agriculture Minister Damien O’Connor said that only one farm still had to wipe out this cattle disease, but 271 farms have been successful at eradicating it entirely. New Eurostat data confirms that pesticide sales in Ireland have dropped by almost a quarter overall from 2011 to 2020. Specifically, herbicide, fungicide, and insecticide producers are selling less.
