Kuhn redesigns its tedder to shorten working time

Kuhn has redesigned its tedder in order to reduce time management for production on farms. This as Kuhn has announced that its new 13m tedder known as the GF 13003 T replaces the outgoing GF 1301. According to the manufacturer, the model reduces time and is set to extend the life expectancy of the machine.

The newly developed model is understood to be ready for transport within 20-25 seconds, making it half the time taken by its predecessor. It also has a new single movement folding mechanism, which works directly off a tractor spool. The company says that storage has also been improved, as there is a reduction in length of 6m and the provision of a reversible drawbar. According to Kuhn, the new machine still has 12 rotors, but these have been upgraded to reduce wear and they are mounted so as to also reduce soil contamination.

In its detailed description of the machine, Kuhn says that tedder has been equipped with new tines which have a diameter of 10mm. The springs have also been upgraded from 70mm to 80mm. This wider tine, with a larger and stronger spring, is said to make the GF 13003 T more resilient than the previous model and is expected to double the life of the tines.
