In a new approach to producing smaller tractors, Claas and Carraro have announced that they will be collaborating to produce just that – smaller tractors.
In a market where bulk machinery is what they are renowned for, they have since signed an agreement to intensify cooperation between the two companies. With their new focus on smaller tractors, it’s understood that the new vehicles will be more adaptable for work suited in orchids and vineyards.
The design of the tractors has been compared to artwork, as their design is more compactable and easy on the eye.
The companies have since released a statement saying that they have now laid the foundation for further growth on both sides as part of a strategic agreement. Claas CEO Thomas Bock says that they have a clear short- to medium-term goal of their commitment, which is to increase sales and market share in the segments of special and compact tractors. The two will now exchange industry knowledge in order to add more value to the production of compact tractors, while maintaining the agreement.
Bock adds that to achieve their goals, they are investing together in new developments, but also in the competence and skills of our employees and know-how-transfers.
