Irish farmers are being offered the opportunity to swap work for a season on a dairy farm in New Zealand.
Applications for the roles are being sought via Facebook by farmer Keith Manton, who is originally from Templemore, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Manton, a dairy farm manager in Balfour, New Zealand, is advertising on social media for two assistant farm managers and two farm assistants.
He is willing to take on people without experience as full training will be provided.
“Looking for workers in Ireland that would be interested to come out and work in New Zealand on a dairy farm. Two farm, milking 650 cows in a 60 bail rotary and 540 cows in a 50 bail rotary shed,” Mr Manton wrote in the post online.
Mr Manton said good pay and a visa will be organised for the successful applicants, along with accommodation and travel. Work can also be provided if a partner is keen to travel too.
The start date for the position is 1 June 2022.
