Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is to shut his Oxfordshire farm shop for renovations until March.
West Oxfordshire District Council has ordered the Diddly Squat farm shop to close for repair work to the roof.
Featured in the Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm, the TV presenter was filmed on his quest to run a 1,000 acre farm in Chadlington.
Following the programme, the shop has become a huge tourist attraction with visitors coming from all over the UK to buy produce.
Clarkson was shown purchasing his first pieces of machinery, picking the foundation animals for his flock and other farming tasks.
Some of the items the farm shop sells include; apple juice, milk, honey, vegetables and bread from Clarkson’s farm and local producers.
Clarkson revealed that a modern farmer also needs the skills of a conservationist, scientist, shepherd, shopkeeper, midwife, engineer, accountant and tractor driver
Despite the success of the show, Clarkson branded the project “an expensive failure” and revealed the farm had made a profit of just £114 at the end of the year.
