An old farmhouse and a modern bungalow are included in land parcels for sale totalling 31ac in Co Laois. They will be sold at an online auction on Friday 11 June at 3pm by Hennessy Auctioneers and Valuers, based in Stradbally.
This is an executor sale by the representatives of the late Christine Kennedy and the holding will be sold in a number of lots on the LSL platform.
Auctioneer John Hennessy said two parcels of land will be of greatest interest to the adjoining and local landowners.
The first parcel of land, located on the Ballacolla to Borris-in-Ossary road, is 7.9ac of permanent pasture at Aghaboe, Ballacolla and within walking distance of the Aghaboe Abbey.
The second 2.5ac piece of land, divided into two fields and accessed by a right of way off the road.
There is an old style two-storey farmhouse in need of full refurbishment and a number of old sheds in the largest holding of 20ac at Coolbally, Clough, Ballacolla. It is located 3km off the R434 Ballacolla to Borris-in-Ossary road. The land is in one block laid out in four fields and there is good fencing. The house extends to 1,220sq feet and has been empty for over 15 years.
Lastly there is a four bedroomed bungalow in good condition with mature gardens on 0.8ac with a paddock for ponies, at Coolbally, Clough, Ballacolla.

Lot 1 is the 2.5ac parcel with a guide price of €20,000.
Lot 2 is the 7.9ac parcel with a guide price of €80,000.
Lot 3 is the 20ac parcel with the old farmhouse and old sheds with a guide price of €250,000.
Lot 4 is the modern bungalow on 0.8ac with a guide price of €170,000.
