Sunny spells with scattered showers on Wednesday, more frequent rain in the west and south with a risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms. It will be mostly dry in the east with occasional showers. Later in the afternoon it will become cloudier, with persistent rain arriving in southern counties later in the evening. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9C in moderate southerly winds.
There is some uncertainty for the evening with a low pressure system indicated to move up from the south bringing widespread rain with a risk of flooding, especially in the southeast with some strong winds. There is a possibility of sleet and snow on higher ground. Lowest temperatures of -1 to 3C.
