The Teagasc Virtual Hill Sheep Conference will take place across two evenings, Wednesday 17 February and Thursday 18 February, as a Zoom webinar between 8pm and 9pm.
A line up of speakers have been assembled for two sessions.
The speakers on Wednesday include Donegal hill sheep farmer David McLaughlin, Teasgac advisor John Cannon and Sheep Ireland’s Kevin McDermott. Topics covered are hill sheep performance on a better farm and generating flock books for hill flocks.
On Thursday’s session the speakers are Annette Zintl from University College Dublin, about ticks and tickbourne diseases in Ireland; and Liz Genever, independent beef and sheep consultant about the importance of monitoring body condition in pregnant ewes.
